Destination Wedding Charleston: A Dream Military Wedding!

Checkout our latest feature on “Destination I Do!” I was lucky to have shot the beautiful military wedding of Amy and Michael in Charleston, SC. They were the winners of a contest they found online – Joanna Bailey Weddings 2010 Military Dream Wedding. And now “Destination I Do” has done a special showcase of this wedding, so you can get a good feel for everything that went into it.

Ironically enough, Amy and Michael had never even been to Charleston, so there were some challenges in the planning. Amy was quoted saying, “How was I supposed to make decisions on the colors, the theme, or even the food never having experienced it before?” says Amy. “I decided I had to see it for myself. After experiencing the venue, food and incredibly romantic city of Charleston, every fear of the unknown was eliminated and the true excitement for the wedding began.”

Well, it all turned out perfectly! Amy and Michael had their dream military wedding, and as winners of the Joanna Bailey Wedding contest, were honored for their service to this country!

Sara France Wedding Photography Showcase: “I Do” Venues

“I Do” Venues is doing a nice showcase on a wedding that I recently shot at the Thomas Fogarty Winery. This ceremony site is absolutely beautiful! Simply click here to get a feel for it, and see what I had to say about this couple’s special day below.

“I loved the view of the valley, from the ceremony site and the short walk down to the open air reception area. After dinner we went inside to this perfectly sized dance floor so everyone to get down! The vineyards are beautiful and overlook the valley as well. I love the outdoor feel of this venue and the covered, open air reception location.

My favorite thing about this wedding was the couple. I am a San Diego wedding photographer but I flew up to San Francisco to shoot their engagement and their wedding. When the wedding day came around, I already felt like family. This couple has such incredible passion for their families and for each other and the wedding reflected that. I could see the couple in every detail and every choice. They probably had one of the longest toasts that I have ever seen with family members and friends all getting up with incredible toasts to the couple.

It was truly a personal and very special celebration.” ~ Sara France

Newborn Family Portraits- The Austin Family

I have done many shoots for Tami and Joe, starting with their engagement and wedding, to the pregnancy and birth of their first daughter, Abery, and now their second, Parker. There is something so precious about being part of such a life cycle and being able to photograph it; watching a family bloom and grow is such a beautiful thing, as you can see from the latest newborn family portrait shoot I have done.

I love doing newborn portraits. It’s such a wonderful thing to capture a new life.
