I am so excited to be a part of Camera Cruise 2010. It’s a four day all-inclusive cruise aboard a Carnival ship featuring photography workshops presented by photographers like David Beckstead, Bui Brothers, Frederick Van Johnson, Khara Plicanic, Kevin Swan and more. What better way to improve your skills than by learning from your favorite photographers first hand? Not only can you take workshops, you can also join us for our one-day long excursion as we shoot on beautiful Isla Cozumel. My workshop is entitled “Apple Core” and will focus on getting the most bang for your buck out of Apple products. I will show you how using them smartly will better streamline your business.

Which Apple products can give you the most benefit for your business? What is the smartest way to use them? Sara will show you how she has set up her Apple Studio and how each of the pieces of the puzzle fit together to give you the perfect Apple Core!

Sara will give you a tour of her apple studio and explain which products can give you the most bang for your buck. Do you want to get rid of the PCs in your studio and don’t know how? Let Sara show you how to make all of your apple products work together. Sara will also review all the latest technology that not only Apple has developed but introduce you to some new software and online services that can really help you streamline your business.

Whether you are a seasoned Apple user or new to the platform there will be a ton of new tricks and ideas you will take away from this informative conversation. Sara wants to help take you to the next level in knowing important tools for your business.

Downtown San Diego Portrait – Rabbi Ian of the Pacific Synagogue

I was lucky enough to be asked my good friend Rabbi Ian to take some pictures of him for his website. When shooting a Rabbi you might think of a lot of the traditional shots that Rabbi’s would look for but Rabbi Ian is not your traditional Rabbi. He is a charming brit with a hilarious sense of humor. Besides that he loves couples in love and preforming ceremonies for couples of all faiths and all backgrounds is his true passion in life. When I first had the honor of photographing one of his ceremonies I found myself so drawn into the eloquent and yet relaxing way that he is able to lead a ceremony. He does such a beautiful job of making the wedding ceremony emotional, fun, and entertaining. I have never met anyone like him and I am sure I never will again. If you are looking for someone to marry you whether you are Jewish or not, give Rabbi Ian and call and see what I am talking about.

Here are some fun facts about Rabbi Ian. He is an English-born Rabbi with a distinguished family history of faith dating back to the 1930′s. His grandfather helped many families keep their Torahs safe during World War 2 when London was under heavy attack by Germany. That torch of honor was passed unto Rabbi Ian. Soon after Rabbi Ian’s move from England to Southern California, he established the Pacific Synagogue as a spiritual resource welcoming Interfaith couples as well as Jewish couples who want to share Jewish heritage and traditions in an accepting environment.

Rabbi Ian has done some of the most beautiful Interfaith Ceremonies that I have ever seen. You might think having a Rabbi preform your ceremony if you are not Jewish seems strange but not for Rabbi Ian. He is also one of the funniest officiant I have ever seen preform a ceremony. If being a Rabbi gets old to him he could be a stand up comedian. Rabbi Ian, thank you so much for preforming such beautiful ceremonies. You have touched so many lives, including mine.

Sarah and Peter

The wedding of Sarah and Peter was held in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains at the Thomas Fogarty Winery. This location was stunning. I went up for the Rehearsal to check out and I was stunned by the scenic views. It was breathtaking to see the view of the valley from the ceremony site. The Thomas Fogarty Winery is set on rolling hills. The winery itself is a maze of hills and it is so beautiful to see the vineyards that way. I highly recommend the Thomas Fogarty Winery if you are looking for a place in the South Bay area to get married. The staff was outstanding as well.

My good friend and awesome photographer, Betsey McCue, joined me for this wedding and took some killer detail shots while I was shooting the family.

Their grandmothers were just the sweetest ladies. They needed their own portrait!

Sarah’s dad was tearing it up on the dance floor! LOVE it!

After the wedding was over we jumped in a car and went down to the vineyard for some pictures at my favorite time of day with my favorite light. The Thomas Fogarty Winery was so great about letting us use their property for some images. Note: no grapes were harmed during this shoot.

It was looking for the perfect vineyard for the night time spot and we came across this spot. It was not until the coordinator came up that I realized we were in the wine makers back yard. Oops but so amazing, right? He was smart to make this his view as well. Mr. Thomas Fogarty, thank you for letting us use your backyard!

At the very end of the night when I had completely worn them out and worn out my welcome at the Thomas Fogarty Winery the couple had one last request: a picture with me. I was honored. Sarah and Peter you are such an incredible couple and I was so blessed to have been there to capture your day.
