A couple months ago I flew out to Denver to shoot engagement photos for a couple whose wedding I am shooting in Denver later this year. I was not only super excited to meet this couple but also really excited to shoot in the snow. We don’t get much snow out here in San Diego. I have shot in snow before and I just LOVE the look of snow in images. I could not wait to get up to the mountains to play in the snow.
We decided to start the shoot on the Millennium Bridge in Denver. There was a huge storm the day before so there was fresh powder on the ground which was fun!
This picture just makes me smile every time I see it. They have such great energy and they are so much fun!
Gabe owns a killer line of clothing for “riders from all walks of life” like snowboarders and skaters, ect. The clothing line and downtown Denver store are called Jiberish. You have to check out their stuff! As all start up businesses, I am sure they would love your support.
We took a few shots in the Jiberish store. I love the art and the lighting in this store. They have really done an incredible job with it!
About these next two shots I just have to say that these two both have incredible eyes! WOW!
This shot was taken outside the store on the street. They have such a great location on one of the cutest blocks in Denver.
After we finished up in downtown we headed up to the mountains to really shoot in the snow. My friend Tim King was in town visiting family so I talked him into joining us for the snow section of the shoot. It was great having him along. We had a blast!
The first thing I did was bury my left foot in the snow and completely drench it so I could not really feel that foot for the next few hours but who really needs feeling in both feet?
While we were at the store we grabbed one of their jackets to borrow for the shoot so the jacket that Kari is wrapped up in is a one of a kind Jiberish design. This item is ready to go into the Jiberish look book!
I am so excited for the wedding in Denver later this year! Their wedding is going to be at the Crooked Willow Farms. It looks like it is going to be an incredible place to shoot. It looks like it has a modern farm feel. You know how much I will LOVE shooting with red barns.
