Top Ten Time saving Tips

Aperture Essentials:

1. Customized Keyboard Shortcuts:  This feature can be found under Aperture -> Commands

  • E – Lift

9. Changing the DPI on your albums:

Path: Under Devices go to your computer -> Machintosh HD -> Library -> PDF Services

Stop & Check Permissions: When you get to this folder right click the folder, select get info. At the bottom you will need to make sure all the permissions are set to Read & Write – if not then change those permissions

Inside that folder look for “Save PDF to folder as JPEG.workflow” before opening it, right click go through the same process of checking permissions as you did above. Then open double click on it which will launch automator. One more step…

Under the first dop down called “Render PDF Pages as Images” change the DPI to 300 and make sure the compression is set to best.

10. Bonus Tip from ApertureExpert.com

Aperture Expert is a great site that gives you lots of tips and insight into Aperture. They also have a great community. Joseph from Aperture Expert wrote and ebook and I asked hime to share one of my favorite tips from that ebook with you here for free.
