We decided to start the shoot on the Millennium Bridge in Denver.  There was a huge storm the day before so there was fresh powder on the ground which was fun!

This picture just makes me smile every time I see it.  They have such great energy and they are so much fun!

Gabe owns a killer line of clothing for “riders from all walks of life” like snowboarders and skaters, ect.  The clothing line and downtown Denver store are called Jiberish.  You have to check out their stuff!  As all start up businesses, I am sure they would love your support.

We took a few shots in the Jiberish store.  I love the art and the lighting in this store.  They have really done an incredible job with it!

About these next two shots I just have to say that these two both have incredible eyes!  WOW!

This shot was taken outside the store on the street.  They have such a great location on one of the cutest blocks in Denver.

After we finished up in downtown we headed up to the mountains to really shoot in the snow.  My friend Tim King was in town visiting family so I talked him into joining us for the snow section of the shoot.  It was great having him along.  We had a blast!

The first thing I did was bury my left foot in the snow and completely drench it so I could not really feel that foot for the next few hours but who really needs feeling in both feet?

While we were at the store we grabbed one of their jackets to borrow for the shoot so the jacket that Kari is wrapped up in is a one of a kind Jiberish design.  This item is ready to go into the Jiberish look book!

I am so excited for the wedding in Denver later this year!  Their wedding is going to be at the Crooked Willow Farms.  It looks like it is going to be an incredible place to shoot.  It looks like it has a modern farm feel.  You know how much I will LOVE shooting with red barns.

The second stop was a fun hotel in La Jolla which seemed like the perfect place to accent Mona’s incredible dress.  You guys have to hear the story behind this dress.  The yellow dress that Mona is wearing was bought for her by her mother when she was 11.  Her mom just knew that she would grow up to look beautiful in it.  Okay, it fits perfectly and it was the one element of her engagement session that she knew she had to have.  The dress of course was stunning!!!

When I first met Chris, all I could think was…Superman.  He has all the striking features of what we women see as Superman.  He also seemed to have the personality traits that I see Superman having.  He is strong, confident, protective, and all with a gentle caring nature.

Okay, you can not get a better backdrop then La Jolla Cove.  Pretty much the most beautiful place on earth.  What you don’t see in this shot is a seal that had just swam by and jumped up on a nearby rock to bath in the sun.  What a fun day.

Wait, you can see the seal in this shot, look right under her dress in the back.  La Jolla Cove is a great place for engagement sessions.  Sometimes I forget how beautiful it is down there.

So, another story I have to tell is about the bracelet made out of string that Mona has on her wrist.  It is a wish bracelet.  When you tie it on you make a wish and when it falls off is when you get your wish.  I thought Chris was going to cut it off in the middle of the night but she still had it at the engagement and I actually like seeing it in the pictures.  I can not wait to hear when her wish comes true.  Then it will make for a really great story!

After hanging in La Jolla we headed to Downtown San Diego to the gaslamp district for some fun downtown shots.  There are so many great shots from down there but I think my favorite has to the the one with the Gaslamp Quarter sign in it and Hard Rock Hotel in the background.

I also wanted to find out where you think that Justin and Kiley should get married.  They are deciding on a destination wedding location and are totally open for suggestions.  So, where do you thin they should get married?

A few days later we got together for a fun engagement session down in Pacific Beach and we had so much fun!  The couple rented bikes for the day and we hung out on the boardwalk, under Crystal Pier and on the beach.  Kiley and Justin are so much fun!  Luckly, Kiley brought this cute white dress even though she had no idea that she was even getting engaged on this trip to San Diego.  Justin did such a great job with the surprise proposal!  Make sure to check out those images too.  They are really fun.

Once we go there they stood together examining the old chalkboards, the vintage college school desks and reminiscing through the memories of the days they spent in the classroom together.  One thing that I love about them is within the time we spent in the classroom shooting their engagement photos, they really wanted to recreate the feelings they had on that very day when it all started.  It was so cool to feel like we were really there when they first met.  One of my absolute favorite parts about meeting with a client is hearing about how they met.  There are so many great stories out there.

New couples, I know you might get sick of telling the story of how you met but just remember it is the first time someone else is hearing it and it tells us so much about the two of you.

For Nurit and Clayton, it all started with a note in a math class and is turing into a beautiful San Diego Wedding.

After we completed our photo shoot at San Diego State University we moved to continue shooting in North Park. My neighbors & good friends, Motor Sport Scooters were so generous with donating two amazing scooters for our shoot! Living next to them for years, we have become good friends and they told me they would provide some floor models for any photographic need that we would have! We couldn’t of had better props for the rest of our shoot!
